Statistics what happened to you? Last time I checked, you were full of coloured diagrams and quirky exclamation marks. Now you have long formula's involving F's and X's and ... calculus.
How did this happen? Who did this to you?
I'm sorry I forgot about your exam, and I know I only left a day or so to revise for you but still. It comes as a bit of a shock to the system to realise you've changed so much.
You're not the topic I used to know. I can see traces of what I knew in you but now there's so much more. I need a little time to adjust to this.
Unfortunately all I have is 2 hours.
If I do really badly in this exam, please don't think I hate you.
I assure you I really enjoyed your lectures, your colours and the anecdotes that came with your crazy examples. Whatever happens, I'll remember you for your perms and comms, P(A)'s and those funky tables, not the calculus and Central Limit Theorems.
Ruth.

Printer Problems

I should have listened more to the Revision Clock of Doom. He's been on my calendar (well the picture of him) telling me to revise since June 1st. I was going to make the JavaComic my revision comic (the comic I draw while revising) but I haven't really been as insanely distracted as I usaually am.
I saw a mini rant/reveiw thing today about someone's worst cliches, and one of the things they mentioned was the 'liar being revealed' as not who they said they were thing (if this ever happens to you, and it does get to the point where it suddenly gets revealed who you really are, just roll with it. Most likely while your off somewhere thinking about the meaning of life and who you really are, something really bad and unaviodable will happen where you just left and you'll be just in time to get back and save everyone.) although a similar thing I find more annoying (although yes if it wasn't for this a lot of movies wouldn't go anywhere) is the lack of communication, or worse people just plain old not listening.
Like in the bourne something or other (I've only seen them in a marathon, they kind of joined together). That guy flat out didn't listen to JASON BOURNE, who was trying to save his life. The best there was.
In fact the whole of that series could have been resolved a lot quicker with a lot less voilence if people just communicated a little better. They're on the phone enough during the films. Everyone just second guesses each other the whole time and asumes the worst.
Clearly if your reasoning goes anything like "Why is that guy not talking to us? Why did he go to his bank? HE MUST BE TRYING TO KILL EVERYONE!!1!!!" you're just asking for trouble.
Also I think life hates me today. Especially the printer part of life. First it printed all of my notes only using 1/16 of the page, then it printed them (2 pages per page, dual sided) ordered 2,1,4,3,6,5. There is no way you could ever get those pages back in the right order.

Also (again. Does anyone know any good words for also? I really need some.Comment them below and the best ones will get used in this blog!) I've found another way to get myself motivated. Stuck, don't want to work, feeling like you have too much work to do?
Put on some epic'y music (of the batman type variety) and tell yourself that your a science guy on the save the world team. Its nothing to lose and eveything to gain! Would *favourite science guy* give up? Would they decide it was too hard to try? Only if they were having a BSOD moment, and all that means is that someone needs to tell them to pick them self up and get back at it. 'Cuz maybe you failed one time, or maybe it looks like too much, maybe it doesn't look like you stand a whelks chance in a supernova but your going to try it anyway, and your not going to stop trying untill its all done and over.
Because you're just that kind of person.
Yeah it may not work forever, and evenutally the music will stop and you'll stop thinking like that but its a start. If it gets you working then its all good.

Databases and Entities
Revising Databases in the chaplaincy, although I'm probably going to have to wait another 12 hours or so untill I can post this, so I don't end up posting more than one thing a day. Yeah. I decided that the rest of the world is probably right about when days start and finish, and even though last night feels like yesterday, technically (because real life is all about the technicalities.) it was still today. And it still does feel a bit like overkill posting two blogs in one day.
Anyway. Back to the point.
The chapliancy is a really good place to revise though. If I were back in my room, I may have reached page 10 by now.
Anyway. Back to the point.
Revising databases is a little more interesting thanks to Linkara and ATFW. The whole 'Entity' (The Entity being the big bad of the season, although not much else has been revealed yet.) plot seems to have come at a pretty good time for me. Now the lines "An entity is something that has an independent existence" and "A piece of the universe is missing. Its voice is not its own." sort of link up, and I can feel that tiny bit happier about learning about entitys. But what happened to Ninja style dancer!?!
Exept I don't think I'm going to uncover any plot points in my "Relational Databases-Design and use" book, and revising databases is still really boring. (I've read 70 pages, and I'm still only about a third of the way through!)

*Saving as Draft, I guess its back to work. Meh.*
Also, I think we have a solution for the hat coolness/ease of drawing problem. The Robin hood/Green arrow hat is both fairly cool, and fairly easy to draw. Yay for happy mediums.
Seeming as I now appear to be posting this now, I'll probably start updating it when I feel bored again.
And NB. (what does NB even stand for?) I know I'm doing a bit more of the 'talking about me', and a bit less of the 'talking about cool stuff', but as you may have guessed it's exam season and we already cleared up the fact that that happens in exam season.
Exams end on July 22, so you can always check back after that if you want to. :p

I should get a blog
So I guess I fulfilled, or at least backwards fulfilled or did not fulfill or something 'd my reason for having a blog today. ish.
Anyway, someone suggested that I got a blog or something so that I could ramble on about stuff and people only had to listen if they wanted to. That way, a special select few could be happy knowing that I'm thinking about the coolest way to have sword form'ey hands or where to draw the line in hat coolness/ease of drawing in a comic, while everyone else could be happy not listening to me go on about it.

On the topic of 'swords for hands', I don't think you could get much of a sword fight done if you had actual swords where you hands should go, because of the angle and stuff. You'd need more of a wrist. Still its a tad more intersting than just having a sword, so I guess it would be cool if said person had mastered the sword-hand as a weapon previously.
I guess it's on to revsion now, as I start my month of exams and the suchlike. Hope that all goes well and all.

Thus ends our brief interlude.
I can't remember what I was going to say last post, so I'll just have to leave it as a picture of a kitten. Now that C++ is all out of the way and my laptop is back, charged and letting me use blogspot again, I guess I can start writing here again. Not that I stopped for a particually long time, and not that I definitely will.
Talking of things that I may start up agian, Java comic has been confirmed by test subject as having a suitable plot (I guess you can't really jump the shark if you don't have a series) and should resume progress shortly. It will probably have even more wildly inconsistent art styles than before, be fairly much longer and may even contain a train. Which people may or may not be fighting atop. Because train fights are pretty cool.

The Java Comic, coming to a blog near you some time in the distant future. Probably.
Topic no.2
I was thinking today. There are some cool things that look really awesome to do, but if you actually did them in real life, just wouldn't be cool. Like taking your hat off when somebody dies. The fact somebody died would so completely overshadow the fact that you are awesomly taking off your hat in a 'I'm a cool person in a hat' way, that it would be disrespectful to even think about that.
The solution I came up with was to be in a movie. This resolves most of these problems because you would still be cool, but nobody would have actually died.
It's also another great reason to wear a hat (as I may have already mentioned to some people). I should probably get a hat sometime, but I think it would look silly.
Speaking of hats, it would be kind of cool to have a hat and trenchcoat guy on my team, if I ever had a team. Conspiracy theorist or private detective a plus. Exept I've already sort of chosen the team of 'take over the world-ness', and trenchcoat and hat people tend to be the good guys. Or at least usually some sort of anti-hero.
Can you get evil trenchcoaty hat people? It just feels kind of wrong.
