Words. They look really friendly from a distance. They seem to be having a really fun time, calling out for you to throw off the constraints of right and wrong that numbers always seem to lumber you with.
"There's no wrong answer with words." they say,
"We can be anything you want us to!"
"We're fun, we have interesting punctuation!"
Then it turns out it was all a lie. Yeah, maybe there is not 'right' answer, but there's still plenty of wrong ones. Now there's a sliding scale of opinionated right and wrong so you can't even tell if the words you have are the right words anyway. It's not as easy as pouring your soul out onto a piece of paper, you can't get carried away. The words have standards. They need to be polite, efficient. So you end up sitting there staring at the words you have, wishing they'd become the words you wanted. As opposed to staring at the numbers you have, wishing they were the numbers you wanted. (Although you don't seem to end up staring at the words you have, wondering if you got them in the correct manner.)
So I have established that words and numbers are both just as interesting as the circumstance and subject matter, and that the grass is always greener on the other side of the alphabet.
Then I got distracted and wrote a blog post about it, because I didn't want to write any more report.
It's not like anyone needs this report, I think I'm only writing it because Loughborough want to make me do more work. It's not like I have a job or anything.
I was told that one of the few benefits of work was that you didn't get homework.
Also I've decided that no one reads this any-more. You and I both know that most our page views were from Russian ghosts, and the other couple are probably just people who got a bit lost on their journey round the web. If that's you by the way, feel free to stay a while. Rest up, get you're bearings; I think there are some signs of civilisation about 3 miles north of here.
Anyway, since it's just us now... well TBH nothings really going to change. I guess it's a bit quieter with all the non existent metaphorical people gone, but they never really seemed to make much noise in the first place.
I should probably get back to this report. I'll try to stop by again soon.

Of Teapots and Headphones
Ey-Up chooks!
I realise it's harder to blog and the suchlike now that I have work, because I usually write this stuff while I am working and thus have all the distracting ideas. Which is ok, because it's usually while I'm working on homework so it's in my own time. Having a job means that you can't write at work, and you don't really work at home (You're too tired anyway), so I don't really have any thing to write about when I can write.
Apparently I have an 'in my own time' uni essay coming up though, so this might change.
This is also sad because I don't have time to comic either (besides a few distracted doodles), and although I don't know if I'd be doing anyway because of extreme procrastination skills, I would have liked to get it down before it grew old in my mind. It was a fairly rad tale, and lots of new characters made appearances.
Maybe sometime I'll have a weekend free, but so far all my weekends have been packed with stuff (not that I'm complaining, it's cool to be doing stuff).
Not much has been going on at work. I went questing today and reaped the rewards of different coloured highlighter pens (Our stationary point only had orange, but I found one with pink and one with green), and someone gave me a cute teapot in a mug set so now everyone thinks I'm the poshest person ever. Not that they're mistaken.
Also HTC headphones are the best headphones I've ever used EVER. I thoughroghly recommend them to anyone who has the same ears as me - they're really comfy, never fall out and have great sound quality.
Really I think people should be able to try headphones before you buy them, like you can with clothes. Headphones need to fit properly, and they come in so many different shapes and sizes but you can't tell which ones are best for your ears before you buy them. Mine have been keeping me awake everyday with my rad tunes. As well as my getting to be routine morning insta-coffee's (once I get a cafetiere for work and make a Dave Strider cover for it, I will be the poshest beverage drinker in all of workplace!) and my afternoon Earl Grey (which consistently reminds me of LoBro because that's where I was introduced to it).
Eh, you know what? It's nearly one am, and I'm going to London tomorrow so I'm gonna go to bed.

Exploshuns.
I don't know about clones, but if I have a long lost twin, I'm pretty sure they got shot in the shoulder on Friday. I can feel it.
Although as we've never met I'm not sure we'd have that sort of a connection. It all depends on how those sci-fi fantasy twin connections work. I'm pretty sure you can't feel your clones getting shot. Unless you're the clone, then you could potentially feel the original getting shot, because you would be a part of them but they wouldn't really be a part of you.
Maybe I'm a clone then, and the original me got shot. Original me must have a pretty exciting life if she got shot in the shoulder three days ago and she's still going. I bet she's in some sort of a rebellion in a parallel universe. (She'd still have to be the original as you can't just feel parallel universe feels. )
Hopefully she'll get some medical attention soon, because I'm getting slightly tired of my shoulder hurting.
Back in this universe, I sort of gate crashed the most mental firework display yesterday.
It was a small neighbourhood display I walked past, and then walked back to and stopped at for a bit, but they seemed to be aiming at recreating the apocalypse with fireworks. They had loads of massive display size rockets, and they were going off pretty low so that the sparks would get rather close and sometimes bounce a couple of times on the pavement. Accompanied by the sticks and card, because there wasn't much wind. You had to be there. It was amazing.
Portsmouth really seems to do guy Fawkes in a big way, there have been fireworks all over since Friday.
In other news, my new work place has no dress code. However 80+% of people wear suits, and we have casual Fridays, so I have translated this dress code as wear suits (mainly because they are cool), but no shoes. I didn't think anyone would notice, but after someone complimented my socks, and one guy asked if I couldn't afford shoes, I'm starting to think maybe I should revise this translation. What do you guys think? Should I conform to this non dress code of wearing shoes?
I haven't been blogging because having a job is pretty crazy, and also I procrastinate but I'll try to keep it up when I can because I enjoy doing it.
Now excuse me, I have to make some macaroni cheese and maybe start on a new super cool cake.

Still on course!
Hey guys. I won.
Well I technically didn't really win, because I actually failed my numerical methods exam (and thus lost the fight, but it was still really epic), but it turns out I didn't need to pass that one for some reason or something, so I'm still alive, on (the) course and headed for Portsmouth!
[I'm not sure what this means in the metaphorical universe, but I'll probably never get round to drawing it anyway.] It's not all plain sailing from here though as I still need to find accommodation and stuff, and the adventures of Ruth in Metaphorical land (That is not the title) continue as she journeys through her placement year and hopefully back to face down University once and for all in The Final Year.
Lots of crazy stuff has happened since last post, because it was so long ago. The part that is pretty in my face at the moment is that I am ill with some sort of crazy cough. It is seriously rubbish. It's just being really tired all the time because when you try to sleep you wake up coughing like every hour, and then you suddenly can't breath for a bit. (Which tends to be a little unnerving.)

Other cool things have been:
- My brothers birthday. T'was pretty cool. It involved playing a game of risk in which the fate of the whole game came down to a 1 on 1 dice roll. Both teams rolled a 6.
- Camp. Two weeks on kitchen with the bestest guys EVAR! (If I ever get round to it, you guys totally have a place in my comic.) This also involved lots of fun and bubbles, and completing one of my dreams of dressing up as a cardboard robot (with a trusty mechanic no less!).
- Making cakes, and chocolate things.
- Going to the British Library with some cool Americans.
- My Brother going to Wales as part of his mission gap year. This is cool because it's exciting and great and all, and less cool because it means he's not around any more.
- Another cousin is totally engaged! Wooooo! (I'm so excited! ヽ( ゚ヮ゚)/ )
There was probably a lot of other really cool stuff too, but I'm kind of tired so I'm going to leave off now.
Night guys.

HMS RE-SITS cont.
Guys, Followers and anyone who may stumble across this post.
I've acquired an internet signal (thanks to my really great mum) and while I'm supposed to be using it purely for coursework and exam preparation, I thought I could expend a little on updating this blog and letting you all know how things lie.
I must have listened to about 12 hours of 'What is love' on repeat during the last three days. Time has been blurring together, while constantly slipping away. I've got a pretty good 'team' here, which currently metaphorically consists of me, the ships captain, a ships mechanic, a new super-hero, the techno guy and my mum.
So far it's been a long stretch of near consistent fighting with no one definitely winning, so its still all to play for. Although I'd keep playing even if it wasn't. Never give up, never surrender and all that jazz.
Thunderstorms keep stopping and starting, both literally here and in the metaphorical planes of my imagination. (The sky behind me just flashed with lighting and I'd love to be outside. I love lighting.)
Anyway in three days this ship will either be fine and dandy or it will be drift wood. (But I won't actually know for quite a while because LoBro are pretty slow about releasing results.)
I'm not going to give a goodbye speech because I've done that before and besides we're going to win anyway, so I guess I'll see you on the other shore.
Ruth.
[I'd post pictures (because I have them) but I don't have time. Maybe another day.]
In other news HSFWSHLFLSH BATMAN!!!! XD
Basically; I saw The Dark Knight Rises, and you should too.

HMS RE-SITS
I know all my posts these days are some variant of 'I'm not dead', and although it's true I'm also currently revising for resists so this may change shortly.
With my pretty poor track record with finishing anything I start, and also the fact that revising for resits means I probably shouldn't be drawing comics anyway, I figured I'd just go ahead and tell you sum up where we are.
We're near Ferry Dock (from which a reasonably large ferry has recently departed).
Ruth and Kiran have exchanged some form of epic goodbye's such as an adventuring due would when about to part ways for what may be the last time and Ruth has boarded the ferry. The ferry is a fair distance away now, the approximate distance where one would stop looking at the shore one had just left, and start exploring the ship itself. No doubt Kiran has turned to continue her journey inland, but it's too far for the camera's to see from here.
Ruth turns with one of those 'I totally knew you were the whole time' lines to face Numerical methods (Who appears to be splitting into two separate entity's, a green one and a purple one.) and Differential Equations. (Maybe someone else as well, we're not entirely clear who at this point.)
To be continued in the season 2 finale.
Anywho, that's what's going on.
It's not quite as cool or exiting as the 3 on 1 night battle with Numerical Methods, Differential Equations and Computing Law, but there you go. The consequences are more dramatic (although hopefully it will have a happier ending), because if this ship sinks that's it. I'll have to swim or something, because there is a rather large lack of life boats and flotation devices.

I hope all your exams and stuff went well for all who did them, and for those who feel they didn't you can join me for resists later.
I'd say not a lot's been going on, but that would be a lie. Plenty of funstuff's been going down, like the Wec Camp Leaders Weekend and Friendship Hour! I would list more, but that's pretty much it for the time being, but it's stillcool amazingly awesome. South won the North Vs South Wide game by the way, because we're clearly the best.
Camp is awesome by the way and they still need more campers/leaders, so if you're 10+ you should check that out in some form. (Especially if you're 10-13, but I don't know why you'd be here reading this.)
By the By, I think the Russian internet ghosts have really messed up the page views. My original plan was to sneakily get loads of views and then suddenly remember I was having a blog page veiw competition with my brother, but the numbers are so messed up now that it wouldn't matter either way.
Thanks Russian internet ghosts. Was this your plan all along?

Bro-Fist
Just a quick one today. You can tell it's work season because I feel the need to be really unproductive.
Bascially: TEAM AWESOME ARE GO!
![]() |
Epic Bro-fist FTW |
Because Team Project's are nearly due in, and our team is so awesome, we're gonna plain out win. (I didn't choose the name, we had a vote.) Although this pic is gonna need some more people in it, because of my Pure Epic support crew who've been really cool.
In other news, this is a cool song and I felt like putting it on my blog:
My troubled soul why so weighed down
you were not made to bear this heavy load.
Cast all your burdens upon the Lord –
Jesus cares, he cares for you.
Jesus cares, he cares for you
And all your worrying
Won’t help you make it through.
Cast all your burdens upon the Lord
And trust again in the promise of his love.
I will praise the mighty Name of Jesus,
Praise the Lord, the Lifter of my head;
Praise the Rock of my salvation
All my days are in his faithful hands.
Good luck with all your revision and stuff guys. Peace out.

So I'm back. Mostly because I don't know whether to go to bed or go to the computer labs, so I thought I'd compromise and hang out on the lines, and now my computer's thinking about stuff so I thought I'd hand out here for a bit.
I re-discovered Biro recently. They are amazing pens, I love the way the just flow so smoothly over paper. Although they do tend to make my handwriting pretty illegible, which is one of the many reasons I don't tend to used them when doing work. This is the other reason:
I tend to get pretty distracted while holding a biro.
To be fair, my A.I lecturer goes really slowly, and it was a double.
Seriously though, they are the nicest pens for shading, because they don't just draw in block colour.
Actually biro ink is pretty weird. It's really thick and sticky, and is a right pain if it get's spilt, but it works because it never absorbs into the page.
Also it smells a bit weird, but I've encountered weirder smelling inks before. Like the black ink in my fountain pen I used to use. It smelt really nostalgic and sort of like, cinder-y?
However after smelling some biro drawing, I realise that black biro smell similar to this. Maybe this is just the smell of ink, or at least black ink.
Or maybe Terezi was right, and colours do all have tastes and smells, maybe this is the smell of black? Probably not though.
If you want to know more about ball point pens, you can look it up. I recommend Wikipedia.
Looks like my computer has finished thinking, and decided that it can't play any steam related things after all.
I shall now proceed to go to bed (even though I like, totally already slept and stuff) because I still have crazy amounts of group project to do.

Russian ghost party -->
Hey Guuuuuuuuuuuys!
I'm not dead or anything. I know you probably haven't noticed but whatever. I noticed.
Anywho, crazy work came up! Like sleep is lacking because of all the crazy late nights I was and will continue to be pulling. Also everyone keeps emailing me. I do not like this.
I'd put something Russian'y in, seeming as you guys are now my main audience, but I don't really know much about you. Pretty much everything I know about Russia is from TF2s Heavy or Hetalia. So basically I know you're all crazy, and really tall.
Also most of my audience appear to be internet ghosts. What are you guys? How are you not using a browser?
Are you electronic beings who just happen to be passing through? What's on the other side of my blog that's so great anyway? Where are the rest of you from?
I'd ask you to leave a comment or something, but I know how you mostly Russian internet ghost types are. It's ok, I won't be offended if you just breeze past on your way to wherever this internet party is at. I don't care that you didn't even invite me.
I'm heading out to lectures now, It'll probably be ages until I come back so in the mean time you can look at this lovelly picture I hastily drew.

Bland Title Goes Here
I wrote this post over a few days, and then deleted it because when I write stuff over a long period of time it tends to get really rubbish and pointless.
So now I'm starting again. Although I'm pretty sure I have even less to say now.
I don't really have the thoughts to spare at the moment, but I'm enjoying having a nice and colourful bag, new shoes and clothes that aren't full of holes. I've also aquired Fruit Tea for all you fruity/cammomiley tea people. (+5 host skills) It smells pretty ok really, so I might even try some at some point.
Work is everywhere, all the time and it doesn't seem to be going down any, and I've learned some stuff I probably don't need to know about e/i/pi, but it was pretty interesting. Still having backstory troubles though. I don't really want any sads in there.
My computer is still a bit messed up, but I don't think I've told you about that yet. Long story short, some it help h guy broke my computer and deleted all my stuff, then my mum fixed it but it's not quite back and I may never be able to play minecraft again. Or at least until I decide to install some drivers or something, but I don't think that would be a very constructive thing to do right now.
Also, Hey Russia! I see you've been reading my blog recently. Thanks, I didn't know you cared.
Except now I have a mental image of Russia from Hetalia reading this, and that's pretty scary.
KolKolKolKolKol

Long story short, some it help h guy broke my computer and deleted all my stuff, then my mum fixed it but it's not quite back and I may never be able to play minecraft again. Or at least until I decide to install some drivers or something, but I don't think that would be a very constructive thing to do right now.

Except now I have a mental image of Russia from Hetalia reading this, and that's pretty scary.

Rocks (especially agate)
I had a smashing day up London recently, which involved a visit to the national history museum.
(It also involved walking though Kensington Gardens, and along Oxford street and lots of sun and happy times.)
We went to the mineral section. I've always been a little disappointed in the mineral collection at the N.H.M, it was a nice way of displaying things but it always felt rather empty. Apparently this is because that wasn't really the mineral section, it was just a random extra bit with cool display windows.
The real mineral section is much bigger and much more informative. Now I am going to spend the rest of this post talking about rocks and other things in the red section.
Consider yourself duly warned.
Firstly, did you know that some minerals glow under UV light? Why this is necessary I don't know, because you don't tend to find much UV light in caves, but it does look pretty funky. Other things I found fairly interesting were the different forms of Chalcopyrite (I only know it because I visited a mine in Cornwall, but I didn't know it came in such a solid block.) Also it's not just trees that you can age by their bands, it's actually quite a lot of things. You can age shells and ram horns by them, and probably even more stuff than that.
There was also this rock, and you could count the bands to tell the calendar of the mine it was found it! How crazy is that!
So I acquired a pretty neat piece of Botswana grey agate and you can really see the layers curving round from a central triangle, especially with the alternating translucent grey and opaque off-white.
I was interested to know why agate looked like this, and in case you did too, here's what Wikipedia has to say:
"In the formation of an ordinary agate, it is probable that waters containing silica in solution—derived, perhaps, from the decomposition of some of the silicates in the lava itself—percolated through the rock and deposited a siliceous coating on the interior of the vapour-vesicles. Variations in the character of the solution or in the conditions of deposition may cause a corresponding variation in the successive layers, so that bands of chalcedony often alternate with layers of crystalline quartz."
Also I was interested to learn from the museum and Wikipedia that those coloured ring glass slice things are actually agate, and generic geodes are too! Although I think that generic geodes are dyed agate with clear quartz crystals inside.
This means that all of these are actually agate, just different varieties and forms. Isn't that exiting!
I would also like to say a very big thanks to my sister for drudging along with me. I'm sorry we didn't find more dinosaurs.

Home, Hats and Happy Times.
Happy times all round guys!
All. Round.
Well for me anyway. Maybe not for you, so not really all round. I've just got enough to feel like it's all round.
So yeah, I'm going home the day after tomorrow and I'm going to see my family, who are some of the most awesome people. I also finally bought Dominion, so I'll be getting an exiting parcel soon and then we can all play it! And talking of exciting parcels, my brother just bought a hat (which came in an exiting parcel) and as a result we ended up talking about hats on the phone for something like an hour. I think posh hats might have some sort of crazy magic instilled in them, because now they seem to make me happy. I'd never really thought much about hats, I knew they were there and they were cool but that was about it. Then I saw this (thanks to my brother) and the prospects of hats will never be the same again.
I also went to 'High Table' which is basically having a nice meal in another halls dining room, but in formal dress. So this involved me wearing a pink flowery dress with some pink flowery tall shoes. Which is slightly unusual, but it was all good fun and I got to meet new people.
I've also been making gingerbread, but my photo editing software refuses to open anymore (it's started happening to more and more programs. Well at least three now.) so I can only use pictures straight from my phone. Anywho, I thought you might like to see.

Ever get this?
I'm a little ill at the moment and last night I was a little bit doing that dreaming while awake thing, which lead me to wonder (this morning) whether anyone else gets that. It's like daydreaming, in that you're awake and imagining the whole thing, and like dreaming in that it feels kindof real at the time, it's generally pretty random and crazy, and you can't just stop (unlike daydreaming).
So your left with being awake, but a sort of super imposed dream at the same time. So at the time it makes perfect sense, but afterwards you realise that it was all pretty much a dream.
I've only ever had it as a negative dream, I supposed this is because it only ever really happens when I'm ill.
For example, last night I though I was reading MSpaintadventures but starting in the middle. It was really frustrating because I really felt like I was ruining the plot by reading bits I hadn't got to yet, as well as the fact that I wanted to go to sleep anyway, but I couldn't stop. It was only this morning that was aware that I clearly wasn't reading it. I wasn't even thinking of anything definite plot-wise, I just thought I was reading it.
I got off pretty lightly really as things go though, one time I thought I was surrounded by really boring rocks. They were just floating around my head and talking about politics and really boring stuff, but their mumbley words (although not really, like dream words) went straight to your brain. Also one of them was having an affair. Now that was pretty bad.
And then to top it all off, when I did get to sleep I felt really ill in my dreams as well. (It wasn't a bad dream though, just one of those short and rather weird ones. I wasn't exactly a hero either.)
Anyway, does anyone else get this? I've never heard anyone mention it before.

It is now March.

In real life news not much is happening. Doing work, Bible study is going cool, failing spectacularly at exams. I found someone else who seems to like a lot of the same movies as me, discovered that 'buddy comedys' is actually a film genre (buddy comedies are pretty fun).
Dude life's a crazy thing. Did you know that? It's full of stuff all the time. I think maybe I should hang out in the kitchen a bit more, but I need to print screens some online test shots first. Guy next door ran out of tea, which is pretty sad but I've run out too so there's not much I can do about that. You never know what's Gonna happen next either. Also I think I've been accidentally stealing peoples mugs. I have 4 identical mugs here and I know that at least one of them isn't mine. I don't really know what I'm saying here. Not much really. Life is cool, try your best , generic statement!
Also, why is it that Pi had to be discovered first, but has the hardest background story to write? I know exactly what happens with e, and I'm pretty up to scratch on i so why couldn't they be first? Meh.
Also it's still nostalgia season, but I'ma Gonna try not to waste a load of time watching stuff or anything. OSTs are still cool though. Yes, I did watch the Baratie arc. So Nostalgic, man I can't believe it was that long ago.

Worst Lecture, ever.
Sometimes I draw because I'm bored. Sometimes I draw because I have an idea I want to get down on paper. Sometimes I just draw to vent a bit. This was last AI lecture:
That was such a painful lecture. It was like listening to that Eragon dragon talking while feeling really fidgety and impatient. I really wished someone would just give me some Ikea furniture and ask me to rip it apart with my hands, and then grind it to dust.
I don't know how long we spent on that question. It was a long time, (at least half an hour or so) measured in awkward pauses.

The worst part was, I was actually rather interested. It was one of my preferred area's of maths, and I quite enjoy trying to solve these problems. Admittedly I was pretty stumped (or I'd have gotten on with it by myself) so I really wanted her to explain how to solve it.
What actually happened is that the question was dragged out reeeeally slowly, (and I wasn't really happy with the method we used either. A mon avis, you should try and avoid counting different patterns when using perms and coms.) and eventually set for us to do by ourselves.
In other news. Internets cannot be unread! I swear I didn't know! It... it was so uncannon! So unexpected! I feel like I strayed into unfamiliar parts of the web there... D:

It's all very well being 'interactive' but sometimes you have to step back and wonder why people aren't answering your questions. Or better yet, if nobody answers your questions, maybe you should just move on. Please, please don't just wait for an answer. Especially if people clearly have no idea how to answer the question anyway and are giving incorrect answers.

Just an update...
Just another update post really. Because it's 3am, and I'm seeing if this coffee is going to sink in enough for me to do annoying calculus.
I went for a walk today. I don't like walking for no reason - I prefer to have some sort of goal, so I thought I'd explore the roads I hadn't walked down past Ed-Herb. Except that apparently one of them is a car park that doesn't go anywhere, and the other-one isn't a road. It's a dark patch. So I saw a road though some tree's that looked a bit new and thought I'd try and find out where that went. Turns out it's a road I vaguely frequently walk down anyway so that was nothing new. It was a nice walk though, just me, the night and ELO.
I also managed to dye my hair to the extent that I can notice the colour difference, and not just when it's in direct and bright sunlight. I don't really mind that no one else is really going to notice, it's just nice to feel a bit of a change.
Also, yeah I have finished the hourly comic day comic, I just haven't scanned it in yet. It's progress though right?
And I've got a π origin story now. (Much thanks to Dave and Claire :D ) It's still got a few kinks that need working out though (and a colour scheme), as well as how large a text to image ratio would work because more images = less likely to happen.
Speaking of which, dude my AI lecturer is going so slowly I took all my notes down last lecture in comic form. It was mostly about a British Agent (who is also a monkey) - who else would need to buy milk, banana's and some sort of posh automatic drill? I missed last lecture (there goes new years resolution) but apparently she spent most of it recapping. Again.
Everything else I have to say today is pretty moot.
I still need to get me some Billy Joel. (Other then feat.Oscar the grouch. Cool as that is.)

Waking up to early
Let me tell you the epic tale of what happened to me this morning:
I was somewhere, doing something. Something really really important. It looked like it was going well, and I think we were really going to make it when all of a sudden things went wrong. I'm not entirely sure what happened but it was very loud and may have involved flashing lights. I turned to shout at my co-worker (I'd say more but I can't remember) and was half way through my sentence of utmost importance when everything went.
It took me a good few seconds to register exactly what had happened. The lights weren't flashing anymore (if they were in the first place) and the room was dark, but the siren-like noise was wailing on. Also I had moved.
It was vitally important that my co-worker of some description knew what I was saying, but suddenly I didn't know who they were, or where I had been, or what I had been saying. I didn't really get what was going on, especially why the sirens were still wailing but I knew I had to remember what I had been saying.
It was then that the rest of my brain started to wake up and told me I was in my room, it was 5:37 and the fire alarm was going off. I wondered for a little while on what this meant, but brain was already on it. "Shoes, coat, out."
My heart was still going pretty fast, my head was still trying to catch what was going on and I still really needed to know what I had been saying but I somehow managed to shoe, coat and out.
On the way back from the common room I realised that I would never know what I had been saying or doing, so I might as well stop trying to remember.
I needed a cup of tea to calm my 'really bad at suddenly getting up and still a bit out of it'-ness, (I still felt like I'd had a bit of a shock really) but in a handleless cup it was too hot to hold. So I went to have a nap instead, and overslept.
And this is why I missed the 8am prayer meeting today. (Luckily no lectures till 10, or I'd have missed that too.)
And it is also why fire-alarms shouldn't go off while your in mid-sentence about something really important.

shiny new pens...?
After a full weekend holiday between end of exams (I count job interviews as exams now.) and start of semester 2, we have hit the ground running. The first lecture of differential equations ended with a differently worded ' Yeah, we had all those introductions to do so we only really got a little bit done this lecture.
Imma Gonna need you to finish this off for homework, and do the problem sheet.
Also here's some coursework, we're going to have a lot of that too.'
Looks like there's going to be a lot of work this semester.
Also:
SHINY NEW PENS!!!
I was also slightly disapoint to hear that apparently people (read: generic girls) like Tuxedo Mask because he either a) turned bad and got all brainwashed and had to be saved,
or b) is the 'fated to be together' pretty romance guy with the 'parents in a car crash' backstory,
and not because of his impeccable dress sense and ability to one hit KO bad guys with a rose. Also he had a cane sword and appeared completely out of the blue with a pre-prepared one liner any time you needed him.
Dude had style.
Is this not a lot cooler than 'fated to be together'?
And this is how little I have to talk about anymore.
Sorry guys...

Yeah I got some shiny new pens. They are awesum.
In related news my Hourly Comic day comic is nearly done. Just need to do 7-9am, 5pm,6-Idk pm, and finish 11am. Which is actually a fair amount really, but it will get done at some point.
I don't really have much to say anymore, maybe I'm too busy to come up with random things to talk about. I would hate to turn this into one of those diary blogs of things I do, because I know you guys don't care about that. Well at least the people I sort of make up in my head who read this blog don't care about my life.
I'm starting to thing that some internet veiwers are wimps as well. I've been watching Hetoni, and the amount of people who skipped that sad/scary bits the first time round and had to go back to watch them, and get irrationally scared the whole time. Some of them aren't funny enough to be a joke. The graphics are about as good as 4th gen pokemon, and the audio is probably about as good too. Maybe 2nd gen. If you get scared, turn the subs off, because then you won't know whats going on the graphics are that bad.

Snow times.
IT SNOWED YESTERDAY!!!! by Ruth Lovell
I love snow, it's beautiful and fun and slightly crazy. It snowed last night, so me and my Dad and my Uncle walked from High Beach (/Beech -apparently you can use either) to home. I'd say it was in the dark, but the snow was so bright it wasn't really. It snowed all the way, and it felt so great to be out of the house after ages of sitting in front of a computer trying to revise. We took a slight diversion to help a scout group (on some sort of orienteering in the dark without any leaders or anything, who were going in completely the wrong direction) get back on track, and I totally pushed a car in the snow.
Often times it was about 3 inches or so deep, and we were the first ones there so everything was crisp and clean. ( I made a snow angel, which was mostly still there the next morning although it had been snowed over. It's nice that most people didn't tread on it.) We got back at around 12:15 for hot coffee and fire, which was happily still going. I've managed to drench a lot of trousers because of snow (and one because of really hot tea, but that's irrelevant), but it's pretty cool to sit in front of a fire and see you're trousers steaming away.
We also made most of an igloo. We would have made the other bit too, but the boys quit after doing two rounds (in snow bricks and everything, thanks to Alex!), so it was up to me and my sister to finish the rest.
Even though my Mum came out to help later, we didn't really recover from the heavy loss of builders (as well as the loss of one of our brick mold-boxes) but we did get a lot more done. The moral of this story is, kneeling and leaning on snow for long periods of time makes your legs hurt.
And then we had upside down pineapple cake and watched Jeeves and Wooster.
And then we had upside down pineapple cake and watched Jeeves and Wooster.
The End.
(Sorry if the writing style is really bad today, I'm not really trying.)

Hourly Comic Day 2012
I watched V for Vendetta today. It was pretty brilliant. Seriously guys, it's like 1984 meets the born identity and then watched zoro. This is what I wanted from 1984. Not exactly, but 1984 was for me rather dreary. Nothing really happened, no one did anything. I don't care how it ended but nothing happened in the middle either.
I just thought that this was one of those films where I never felt 'Seriously movie? Why do that, it's not supposed to go that way?', so yeah. I really liked it and would recommend it.
I also finished Halo Reach. Yeah, I finished a halo game all the way through. The one with the trailer that made me say I'd maybe one day play Halo. Thanks trailer.
Also it's hourly comic day today!! (Thanks to my Mum who put it on my calendar for me. )
TBH I don't think I stand a chance of hacking it, but I'm going to try it. Maybe I could manage a 3-hourly comic day.
Here's the first one for you guys. (It's phone-cam'ed because I don't want to use my scanner at 2am.)
Gotta love those times when you're walking along to ELO, and it's really late and the moon is crazy big. Also the streetlamp that always turns off when I walked past turned on for me this time. That was pretty cool.
Hope you guys have a great day.

Procrastination?
Well exam revision isn't being the best thing ever, but wh'ev. I hope it goes ok anyway.
I still can't really write anything exiting, so have some concept art instead. Don't worry, I didn't do it all today instead of revising. It's been sitting around for a while. (well sheet the third was from today's sesh.) Hopefully it will make it past the concept stage sometime soon, but you should know better than to trust me when I talk about finishing creative things. Can you guess who's who?

The internet blackout is a cool idea, but you do need to vote for it to work. The internet needs you, stop SOPA.
Those times where it's 2:30am and you're not really getting any work done, but you can't afford not to get it done. Yeah.
All I've got is someone else's Maple work that I don't all the time get, and a bit of concept art for i. (I've given him a scythe, but I'm still stuck on the face)
Which reminds me, some day I need to tell you all about i and the transcendentals. I might even include pictures.
Sorry for wasting your time with small posts and all, but I don't really care. I don't have time for a long one, but I'm not getting anything done staring at Maple work.
Also I finally saw Zorro with Dani. It took us 4 years to watch it, but it was really worth it. That film was pretty awesome. Although I'm starting to believe I have a fairly terrible film taste.
I didn't think it was really worth an extra post, and seeing as I've actually blacked out my blog for SOPA (and yes, because it felt like a cool gimmik.), but it's the internet blackout today.
You will probably have noticed because it's pretty big. I noticed it on XKCD, but it's also people like Wikipedia, TGWTG, VGcats, Daily Dinosaurs... I could continue because there's alot of them. I know most of you don't exist and all, but stats say that a fair few of you possibly existent guys come from America.
I just wanted to remind people it doesn't work unless you sign the petition or contact your congressguy (?). [If you're in America, if not you should sign the petition or something.]

Productivity?
Having loads of revision and Cw can be really frustrating. It makes you feel really creative.
I have a billion and one (or, about 10 or so) ideas in my head of stuff I really want to draw/bake/make, but I can't do any of them.
I can't even stay and write much of a blog or anything. I'm just itching to get sketching.
It's really annoying how you only want to do slightly more productive things when you have more important work to do. Like pairing socks instead of tax returns.
[Black Books. Watch it.]
There's so much to do, but time slips past relentlessly. I'm sure a lot of people share my feelings on this, but if there was one magical item I could have (without thinking too hard, because I don't have time for that right now) it would be Bernards watch. Even if it means not being able to use the computer in time stop mode.

A Brief New Year Post
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I know it's a bit late, but for me this is still pretty good. I'm surprised I even managed to put it up at all.
I'm not writing any posts, because I'm actually online to get some maths notes, not do blogging and stuff.
